What is the eligibility for JEE Advanced application form 2018

Candidates who fulfil the following five criteria are entitled to fill JEE advanced program form 2018.

Performance in JEE Main 2018: Candidate must be among the best 2,24,000 by securing cut off score in JEE Main 2018 Paper 1

Age limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993. For SC, ST and PwD candidates that the age limit was relaxed by five years, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1988.

Number of attempts: A candidate can try JEE Advanced a maximum of 2 times consecutively. Therefore, candidates that appeared in JEE Advanced 2017 for the very first time will also be eligible

Look in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: A candidate must have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2017 or 2018. However, candidates whose Class XII (or equivalent) evaluation board results for the academic year 2015-16 were announced after June 2016 qualify to appear in JEE Advanced 2018

Before entry at IITs: A candidate should not have been admitted to an IIT or accepted that the IIT seat by reporting in a reporting centre previously. The candidates whose admission in IITs was cancelled are also not qualified to appear in JEE Advanced 2018
